FX Slot Selection Behavior on DDJ-FLX4 RB7
Hi Rekordbox Team,
One of the biggest workflow issues I experience when using the DDJ-FLX4 is selecting FX for Deck 2.
Currently, when switching the FX assignment from Deck 1 to Deck 2, the selected FX slot does not follow the active deck. Instead, the controls continue to affect the FX slot previously selected for Deck 1. As a result, if I want to use a different effect on Deck 2, I often have to reach for the mouse and manually select the desired FX slot in Rekordbox 7.
From a workflow perspective, it would be more intuitive if the FX slot selection automatically followed the deck currently assigned to the FX section.
As a possible improvement, I would suggest allowing users to hold the SHIFT button on each deck to change the FX slot assigned to that specific deck directly from the controller.
An even better solution would be to add a preference in the settings that allows users to choose between:
* Shared FX slot behavior (current implementation)
* Independent FX slot selection for the left and right decks
This would greatly improve usability and reduce the need to interact with the software using a mouse during live performances.

This is designed behaviour when using the FLX4 with rekordbox.
FX1 will be used for both deck 1 and deck 2.
But I will forward your feedback to the engineering team for future consideration.

That is exactly the problem, and it is also the problem for many of my students who use the FLX4, and it is very confusing for them.
It is logical that when you are on deck 2's FX, the shift button on deck 2 along with the select button should work, and the left shift for the left deck.
When you set it for both deck 1 and deck 2, if both channel gains are up and you are mixing on top of each other, one single FX will affect both.
You surely know that many times you don't want to reach for the mouse, and I also don't like to use the trackpad to select an FX.
You lose focus behind the unit and your head will be in the laptop.
