DDJ-SR2 will not connect with my computer
Hey all! I DJ'd an event last night and discovered my computer and controller (Pioneer DDJ-SR2) were not connecting. I thought it might be my version of Serato being out of date, so I updated that. It wasn't. Lucky for me, the sound guy had a spare laptop with Serato installed (& the right drivers for the specific controller, plus Spotify integrated) and that worked like normal with my controller.
This leads me to believe there could be an issue with my USB port. I tried cleaning it with a little rubbing alcohol & Q tip, but it didn't help. Though my laptop accepts its charging cable no problem. I see light on my controller when I connect the computer ("hot cue" and "load" buttons light up, but nothing else). Thought it might be a cable issue, but obviously not, because a different laptop worked, and I tried a new cable and both USB ports on my computer with no luck. I even updated by OS to the latest Tahoe and reinstalled drivers via the Pioneer site for my specific model. And yes, the controller is plugged into it's own power source. I have been using this specific laptop and controller together for 5 years with no problems, so I am truly baffled as to what the issue could be. I am working DJ, so I really need this resolved ASAP.
Any insight on what the issue could be? Thanks in advance!
