Ddj-1000

I am running ddj-1000 and Virtual Dj with a laptop normal asus notebook which should handle it but since going from flx4 to this the music sounds distorted , clipping slightly and not clear . I have normal 40d speakers but it just does not sound right . I have Chatgp it and done what recommend but its still not right Anyone else had these issues
