Chordcat: Provide another option for external note input in step recording

Currently, the Chordcat accepts external note input in step recording after pressing the respective step. It would be helpful if the device remembers the last note played (regardless of the input device, i. e.: the Chordcat iself or an external MIDI device) and uses this note for all steps pressed afterwards. This should be an alternative option so users could select the behavior.
