rekordbox 7.2.18 — USB export creates playlist/track entries but audio files don't transfer

rekordbox version: 7.2.18.0311
OS: macOS
Hardware: XDJ-RX3 (firmware 1.19)
Mac Tahoe 26.6.2

Issue:
When exporting playlists to a USB drive (tested on multiple drives, including a freshly formatted FAT32/MBR drive), rekordbox creates the playlist folder structure and track database entries on the device, but the actual audio files frequently fail to copy over. On the most recent test, a playlist expected to contain dozens of tracks showed only 1 track actually present on the device after export completed with no error message.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Export a playlist via right-click → Export to Device, or via Sync Manager
  2. During export, a "files playable on specific DJ equipment" compatibility dialog appears repeatedly and the app becomes unresponsive/flickers (confirmed via Activity Monitor: rekordbox process actively using ~48% CPU during this state, so not fully frozen, but no visible progress)
  3. After the export "completes," checking Devices → [USB] → Device Library → All Tracks shows most tracks missing, despite playlist folders being present
  4. Confirmed via Preview/Location columns in the device track list that most tracks have no waveform preview, indicating the audio file was never actually copied

Additional symptoms observed during troubleshooting:

  • "Convert to OneLibrary" dialog looped/reappeared repeatedly across multiple attempts before eventually completing
  • Sync Manager checkbox sync frequently showed no progress or silently failed
  • Behavior reproduced across two different brand-new USB drives (both reformatted FAT32/MBR), ruling out a single bad drive
  • Verified drive write functionality independently (plain file drag-and-drop to the drive works fine), ruling out drive/permissions issues
  • On the XDJ-RX3, one exported drive shows the playlist tree but no playable files; a second drive doesn't get recognized by the player at all

What I've already tried:

  • Reformatting drives (FAT32/MBR) from scratch
  • Force-quitting and relaunching rekordbox between attempts
  • Confirmed rekordbox is on the latest available version
  • Checked File → Display All Missing Files — confirms some missing files, but these appear tied to an old/legacy library folder, not the current playlists being exported

Question:
Is this a known issue with the export function in 7.2.18? Is there a way to get a detailed export log showing which specific tracks failed to copy and why, rather than relying on manual Preview-column inspection? Any guidance on resolving the repeated "Convert to OneLibrary" prompt and confirming a clean, complete USB export would be appreciated.
