Εar pads falling apart after only 2 years
Hi everyone,
I bought a pair of red Pioneer HDJ-CUE1BT wireless/wired DJ headphones a little over two years ago. I use them about once a week, nothing heavy, and I look after them properly.
Now the red leatherette covering on the ear pads has completely deteriorated. It is peeling and shredding on both sides, and it looks terrible. For a product used this lightly, I find this unacceptable. This is not normal wear, it looks like a material quality problem.
Pioneer only offers a 1-year warranty, so I'm outside of it. But for a brand like Pioneer DJ, I expected ear pads to last much longer than this. Paying €103 for headphones whose pads fall apart in two years of occasional use is disappointing.
Has anyone else had the same problem with the HDJ-CUE1 / CUE1BT pads?
I'm also open to recommendations for good replacement pads.
Thanks!
