DDJ-SB Audio Out issues

I bought my controller around 9-8 months ago and just recently the RCA outs stopped working and no audio goes through to speakers of any kind. The controller has always been handled lightly with no reasonable cause, to me, that it should have such a problem now. I have tested on multiple speakers with multiple RCA cables. My computer is an Alienware system that has no problem running just about anything. I use Serato DJ Intro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tested the controller with another computer? A different software?

Greg Berning

I have tested it with a different computer and received the same results. Are there any free softwares that are compatible with the DDJ-SB as I am financially unable to afford the Serato upgrade nor Traktor.

You could even configure Windows to output through the SB to test it...

Greg Berning

How do I configure it to do so?

See step 8 of this: http://site2.pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?c=660&lang=en&p=DDJ-SX&t=faq

It's written for the SX but should apply to the SB as well.

Greg Berning

I tested it, no audio came from the controller. While audio still come through the headphones it did not go through the computers speakers, I was able to play videos from youtube with audio coming through but not from the controller

The headphone output would possibly indicate that the unit is still functioning in terms of audio-interface, however if it wasn't configured for output to the master-outs, that doesn't exactly help you with the diagnosis.

Could you grab a copy of ASIO4ALL and try configuring it for output from Windows to the ASIO4ALL driver? You'll need to ensure that both the headphone output and master output (may be labeled as 1-2 / 3-4) are selected in A4A.
