CDJ 2000 issue - Player Freezes

Every so often, like once a week, I will be using my player as normal and it will suddenly freeze on me. I have posted a video on youtube showing the error http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czLcQR3c_nI

I have seen a few other posts on this forum that sound kinda similar to my issue but did not have any resolution http://forums.pioneerdj.com/entries/20287783-cdj-2000-problem

my player is using the newest firmware (4.04) and my other one does not seem to have the same issue. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so what did  you do (if anything) to resolve the issue?

@Kevin > Does this happen seemingly at random or with particular tracks?

How do you have everything connected up?

kevin

This happens at random, I cannot reproduce it and do not know when it will happen again.

Currently I am using my CDJ 2000's with RekordBox 1.5.0

I connect to RekcordBox through an Ethernet switch. So ethernet from computer running rekordbox to switch and from the switch two ethernet cables one going to each player.

It's likely an issue with the communication between the player and Rekordbox; please try connecting the player directly to the computer and ensure that the firewall is disabled, as well as any wireless network adapters.

happens to me to!!!

I personally believe that MP3 files are to blame.  The one and only time my player ever froze was when I was testing a corrupted MP3 file.

Otherwise, my CDJ-2000s have never, and will never, play anything but WAV or AIFF.

I've used LINK from Day 1 and I've had my players for a year and a half. I use a small Cisco 5 port switch. Freezing "might" occur if a network bottleneck might be occurring.

Like Fuse Promote, I only play WAV files due to their exceptional quality. MP3's are inferior.
