Getting the title of the current track outside of recordbox

To make a long story short, we have some custom software at our club where one of the features is to have the current artist and track on all of the monitors (among other things).

Most of the DJs use Serato and we discovered that Serato puts the current track information in a history file, so we wrote a small application that those djs could run that would occasionally wake up and read the track info from that file automatically.

I was wondering if there was a similar (or much less hacky way) that we could do the same for our DJ who uses rekordbox?
