XDJ-XZ pad effects when using RB performance mode

Hi,

I've been using the DDJ1000 for a while and really like the pad effects.

I've just paid the deposit on an XZ, as it will give me standalone option as well, even though ill mainly be using it with RB.

From reading up on here, if I am using the XZ in performance mode with rekordbox then the BEAT LOOP button will become PAD FX 1/2  the same as the DDJ 1000 allowing me to use the RB effects on the performance pads.

Is it right that they sound slightly delayed/out of sync for some reason, or will they work and sound the same as if I was using the DDJ 1000?

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

Hey Rob,

The button functions on the XDJ-XZ are slightly different when being used as a controller vs. a stand-alone unit; please see the guide here for the button mapping. You'll notice that the SLIP LOOP button becomes PAD FX 1 and SHIFT+SLIP LOOP is PAD FX 2.

Hi, I want to set SLIP LOOP to PAD FX 1 whilst using the XDJ-XZ as a stand alone player. Is that possible?

@Patrick > No, sorry - the pad functions are fixed and cannot be changed in stand-alone mode.
