massive CPU problems !!!!

You guys DO know that you can run up to 100% for each core (up to 800% for consumer CPUs in the Intel Core i7 8-core family), right?

There's no need to freak out about 50% at idle; it just means the software is "ready to go" when you hit a button.

yeah,Rekordbox kills my CPU too, whenever i have it open in performance mode my fans crank up, I won't be using it live really till they fix this.

Same. Use traktor serato and now RB.  

I rarely hear my fans in Serato and Traktor but my CPU floats around ~50% and spikes to 100% with two decks running.  

Whats worse is the waveform is much choppier in RB but scrolls smoothly in Serato and Traktor. I really love RB but Pioneer needs to do some serious optimization prior to adding any new features. I'm worried that when DVS support my laptop will ignite in a massive ball of fire! :)

Yes bug fixes and optimizations no new features...!

No Tracks run !!! absolutly nothing !!! BUT 79% CPU burdens  :(

My system is : Windows 7 Home Premium, i7-2670 @2.20 GHZ, 64 Bit, 16 GB Ram,

Not sure if this is an issue with Mac or with configurations but here is what happened with me.  I was having CPU issue with Rekordbox initially. I was able to
improve my CPU function drastically by ensuring my firewall software was configured to allow Rekordbox processes instead of monitor or block.  Then out of the blue my computer crashed and had to be restored.  Luckily my Rekordbox collection was backed up and had no problem restoring my collection.  There was a lot of software on my computer before it crashed so I decided to treat it like a business computer and only install DJ related software.  Now when I run Rekordbox (Performance Mode), my CPU usage is only around 11%.  Even with waveform drawings on high.  I know my case was a little extreme but it works beautifully for me now.

mine is a fresh install of all and my firewall is always off so not sure if that would help on macs at all. thanks for the ideas though, may help with others

There might not be the one his computer, whether PC or MAC has specially adapted so that a DJ software works!

rekordbox requires maximum performance from the CPU !!

And Pioneer know that's not mature the software and we are all test candidates !!!

This issue is only a minor nuisance, but it does cause faster battery drain.

Again, only a nuisance, but it would be nice if we could do minor Rekordbox work (playlists, cuepoints, etc) without burning through so many CPU cycles for non-Performance work.

sitting at that high of CPU causing my laptop to heat up and fans to blow is not good even though the software is ready to go. no other software does this and more heat just damages electronics and kills battery so I would hope they are working on CPU improvements 

core 1 is sitting at 80% for Rekordbox so I feel if i try do do something substantial in Rekordbox thats assigned to the first core then the program will crash, maybe this is why i get a lot of crashes when simply preparing playlists and hot cues

My cpu is on 19 %  cpu i5 and windows 10   Never had any performance issues at all.

Perhaps its your crappy macs :p

After I switched off the auto analyze function my laptop works fine. It makes no sense to analyze the tracks over and over again. 

huh? the tracks do not analyze over and over again, if you shut it off and the CPU lowered a lot then that means your tracks were not done being analyzed. 

I have a ton of tracks that were analyzed and finished, again, they don't analyze over and over again, that would be pretty dumb

all other program´s Serato, Traktor, Virtuell Dj almost running and now i have the DDj-Rz and i´can´t use it.... i hope Pioneer hurry up to change that...

und der neusen rekordboxDJ Version läuft es bis jetzt !?
rekordbox ist aber immer noch sehr CPU lastig! Der Lüfter dreht ordentlich im Betrieb.

Da muss Pioneer definitiv noch viel tun !!

Pioneer, if you don't know how to resolve this problem, please give us a TSI file for TRAKTOR, we need to work!!!! i sold my DJ equipment and now i have only DDJ-RX but i cant work with rekordbox.... ohhh sorry i can, but rekordbox CAN'T !!!!!!

I am using a DDJ RZ with a MacBook Pro i7 (4 cores) early 2011. CPU fan blows a lot. Enclosing gets quite hot. I wonder how (or if) my laptop performs in a hot environment > 20 °C like in a hot and steamy club in summer.

CPU usage is about 2x higher compared to Traktor! This is either bad programming or using a wrong programming framework for rekordbox dj.

MY SOLUTION: Returning DDJ RZ, getting DDJ SZ using Serato or Traktor. I might get back to Pioneer Rekordbox DJ using DDJ SZ when the software is ready to rumble. I do not need all features from Traktor but I do need a reliable software that does not annoy me with CPU fan blowing while doing nothing or might overheat in a hot club environment.

And yes, Pulse, I DO know that I can run up to 100% for each core (up to 400% for consumer CPUs in the Intel Core i7 4-core family), BUT I do not need an almost overheating Laptop while doing nothing with it or while preparing a playlist or while performing a bedroom dj mix. In short: Traktor and Serato can do better at the moment. Hopefully Pioneer does not wait too long.

Resumee: Pioneer builds the best Hardware. Rekordbox is the best software for preparing a set BUT does NOT match my expectation regarding CPU usage in Performance Mode (DJing).
