[SOLVED] Question Regarding Broken USB Stick
Hey guys,
I had a gig this past Friday opening for Martin Solveig when mid-set one of my Patriot XT Boost sticks just snapped in half (I use two sticks separately and not through link). I'm not sure how it snapped but all I saw was that Deck B on the CDJ-2000 Nexus' had no USB feed. My question is this: I ordered another stick but I'm not sure if I have all of the songs that were on that stick on my Mac/rekordBox. I do have a duplicate of the stick so I was wondering if rekordBox would recognize the new stick if I just dragged and dropped the contents of the un-harmed stick unto the new one (when I receive it)?
Does it count if I drag & drop contents from one stick to another or does rekordBox insist on doing it the slow rekordBox way of adding/exporting tracks to USB?

You can using a cloning program to do it like cc cloner for Mac or super duper I think it's called for pc. Another way is to copy the 2 folders from the root of one stick to another. One is the contents folder you see and the other is a hidden Pioneer folder. You would have to show hidden files to see this on your computer.

@Alastor > Cloning is probably your best option in this case - I like SuperDuper and CCloner. Acronis and Clonezilla are other alternatives for PC.
rekordbox won't have recognised any problems so you could just as easily re-export the same playlist(s) / track(s) from the software again if you wished.
