Track ID for the live streaming world
OK I will try and post another Question means my other worked lolz,
I run a live stream and im looking for a easy way to display tracklistings on screen in realtime while using rekordbox and the cdj nexus. I what to do this because 9 out of 10 people want this in the live streaming world, and seems relatively easy and keeps peeps happy and makes the stream more dynamic.
I can already do this by using itunes in some funky (programable) way, but it can get a bit of a pain because I have do this manually (using DJM 900 and MIDI), so im looking for an automatic solution that does this from rekordbox.
I enquired to pioneer about KUVO but... to cut to the chase they said NO because im "not a club" even though im getting between 500-100 people in my stream, (probably more than some clubs). Seems a stupid decision but thats pioneer decision.
Does anyone here have any other ideas or simple solutions that I could try out. Im guessing others here would like a feature like this like online radio stations etc.
Thanks doodz

Yeah, unfortunately the KUVO systems are not engineered for end-users, although I'm sure at some point in the future that functionality would be available to end-users (such as yourself) without requiring a KUVO gateway box.
When I used to do a lot of online broadcasting, using various servers from Live365 to ShoutCast to IceCast, we would usually customize the software on the server to allow a script for the DJ to manually enter that info and have it feed into the stream display. Unfortunately, picking the info from the LINK would be a bit trickier, but I know it can be done as the guys from Armin van Buuren have engineered a system that does just that (and more) for their front-of-house team to know exactly what Armin is playing. So while not impossible, it may be a bit more than you're looking to do for a streaming service.
