Pioneer DDJT1 & rekordbox
I'm thinking of selling my CDJ 900s to buy the DDT1 controller.
Will I be able to use rekordbox with the DDJT1 as I would still like to mix "manually" the traditional way, rather than using Traktor which takes the skill out of it?
Sometimes I use my CDJ 900s as controllers with Traktor, but from experience you can't just use them to manually mix & beat-match as the software is not acurate enough as the tempo drifts, even though they were perfectly matched half a minute ago.
Also, does the DDJT1 controller's layout exactly miror the Traktor software in terms of effects, etc?
Thanks

@DJ S-TYPE > Unfortunately no, you will not be able to use Rekordbox with any of the DDJ controllers.
Only CDJ and DJM models with the "LINK" feature (CDJ-900, CDJ-2000, DJM-900, DJM-2000) can receive Rekordbox information over "LINK", but all other current CDJ models recognize Rekordbox analyzed files on USB devices. (CDJ-350, CDJ-850).
Yes, the DDJ-T1 effects are in the same layout as on the Traktor software. Check out the top view of the DDJ-T1 and you can see the layout. :)
@DJ S-Type > Its important to remember here that Rekordbox is a music management system, not a DVS like Traktor / Serato etc.
However, the unit can be mapped to other software of your choice.
