XDJ-1000 display problem.

I have a problem with one of my 2 pioneer xdj-1000 players running with firmware version 1.05
When I switch it on, it starts the display comes on and then after few seconds the display goes off while other lighted buttons remain on. at this point i cannot use the unit because many useful interface functions of xdj-1000 are located in the display screen.
Please anybody with any idea to what might be wrong help me solve this issue.

A factory reset will not resolve this issue; please contact Pioneer technical support in your region to have the player serviced.
You need to take it to a service center. Possible issue with internal power supply..

I want to try factory reset. Can anyone tell me about the procedure to do a factory reset for this unit
More on the issue,
Sometime The unit can start without any problem for an hour or so of use, then sudenly display goes off, but if we are using and already connected to software like serato or vrtual dj we can still play music using computer screen. The play/stop, cue browse and other buttons do still work.
I am trying to isolate whether this phenomena comes from firmware, hardware or some other conditions around my setup. Anybody with any explanation?
