[SOLVED] CDJ 900 Updating Firmware Issue
I recently purchased two CDJ 900s. One had version 4.05 firmware, the other 2.0.
I downloaded 4.2 and updated the 4.05 CDJ with no issues. When I try to repeat the process for the CDJ with 2.0, it does not update. After holding USB and Reloop I get the message to insert my USB. I insert the same USB that I used to update my other CDJ. I get the "Now Updating" blinking light, along with the Auto Beat Loops blinking, after a minute or so my screen reverts to just the PIONEER logo. Nothing else happens. I have tried to let that sit for an hour, no updates. I have powered off, unplugged the CDJ, ensured no link etc was plugged in - same issue everytime. Like I said, it worked fine of the other CDJ. I have read that you can go from 2.0 to 4.2 - but I cant think of anything else that could be the issue.....any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Here is a video of what I described above
I should have also added that I am using a new USB drive that is FAT32 - plus it worked on one CDJ, so I dont think that the USB drive or update files are the issue.
@Jon > Thanks for posting the video.
Can you try using a different USB stick with update files placed on the root of the FAT32 formatted USB stick, please?
Thanks Gavin - I actually brought it to my local repair shop, they tested with a different USB, same results. After a few more tests, they were finally able to update via a CD. Thankfully the guys at Sound House in Brooklyn, NY are very persistent and didnt give up!
@Jon > Great news, thanks for getting back to me and letting me know everything worked out!
