Issue with Samsung 256GB T5 SSD & loss of anaylised data.

I have been using a brand new Samsung T5 256GB SSD formatted to FAT32 to use as backup music source for my XDJ RX should my laptop fail.

I have analysed all tracks through rekordbox 5.2.2. I then sync my playlists and set information to the SSD through rekordbox, but when I start playing tracks through the XDJ RX after about 5-10 tracks into playback as I load the next track all the analysed information such as BPM and waveforms disappear, and a message comes up to say tracks need to be analysed to display waveform, quantize feature etc. This sometimes is intermittent and does not always happen with the time period stated above, but I could definitely say I would not be able to perform a whole set without this happening. I have again formatted the drive & re synced but the issue still remains.

Any ideas anyone?

Have you checked that the drive firmware is updated, and maybe tried a different USB cable?

James Vardill

Thanks for your reply @Pulse. The firmware is up to date, however I did change the supplied hard drive cable, and so far so good! I will see how it goes. Many thanks.

@James > Awesome -- always a nuisance when it's the little things but happy it was something simple. Fingers crossed that was it!

@Pulse 3rd different cable, and the issue still remains! :-( Any other ideas what It might be?
