Seeing how this is a new product and hasn't been released I'm assuming there is a lot more to this software than they've described and that's all well and good, but the word dedicated is what makes me wonder. I'm assuming these features don't work with just a regular usb to Dmx or similar product? The only reason I ask is because I own quite a bit of lighting equipment already, especially regarding connections.

The price includes a rekordbox dj license and the hardware. Similarly, Soundswitch costs $499 and still requires you to purchase DJ software separately.

No, it will not work with 3rd-party USB-DMX hardware.
