4.0.5 - not showing mp4 in itunes explorer
when using itunes explorer mp4 files are not showing up
in previous versions the MP4 would show up and I could import and add to playlists
yes I know, RB doesn't "support" mp4 but as long as the audio is mp4 or AAC it will play ( 1/2 my music is MP4 as I do video )
I can drag a file directly from itunes to a player in RB and it will load and play fine

@Lofty > The tracks will play within rekordbox, but as you note those files are not officially supported by rekordbox. The reason they play is because of the encoding within the MP4 wrapper, but they are not shown in the explorer due to filtering of unsupported filetypes.
I know that in older versions ( I had 4.0.3 to test ) MP4 show up fine in itunes explorer panel
most of my playlists contain MP4 - it's annoying they don't show up -
why in 4.0.5 is there a filter that wasn't in previous versions?
perhaps an option to show "unsupported files"
technically I can work around and add from itunes but thats a PITA
Sorry, I can't say for sure, I can only speculate on why they're no longer being displayed.
Hopefully the Dev team adds it back :)
I was enjoying not having my entire itunes library in RB - I only imported what I'm currently playing. Its nice only having 500 tracks to play from ( and the other 19000 available )
for now I guess i'll use 4.0.3 :-( --- I can live without continuous play
