music skips using CDJ-2000s and Serato
i have been noticing for a while with all updates the at times with heavy bass the music skips. i am a mobile DJ and placement of subs are different each time but are always close to the set-up. this is not good especially when playing at weddings etc... i never had this problem before with the denon 3700s so i know its not the mp3 file or serato or computer. hoping there is a fix to this maybe something i can download to the player for the sensitivity. denon did have this problem in the beginning but they did a fix to it threw firmware update.
Pulse i did talk to you at the DJ EXPO about this so i hope you can help.
Thanks

Are you using HID to control sera to? If so then it's irrelevant that it worked fine with the 3700's, 2 totally different setups
Yes using HID with serato. But both were threw midi with a powered USB hub. Using internal mode. So what you are saying HID is not as stable and will skip. The denons were not HID but threw midi with USB cables no problems. I thought native HID mode would be more stable.
right but doing the 3700's the way you were was still using a control signal and REL mode so they would never ship regardless. The skip issue in Serato via HID is a know problem that was supposed to be fixed in 2.3 but still is not, It is something Serato will have to work on, When you touch the platter sometimes it creates a skip or in your case, heavy base slightly moved the platter which cause a skip. For now you can put the timecode on a flash drive and use REL mode like the older way until sera to fixes it, Search their forum, I am over there too a lot and I know there is a lot of talk about this
here is one where they mention the bass too: http://serato.com/forum/discussion/507457#new
Thanks BriChi.
I guess I didn't see that post in serato. Glad to know that it is not the CDJs. Hope this is fixed soon.
yeah, definitely nothing wrong with the cdj's, It is a bug in software and will be resolved i'm sure, Don't sweat it. :)
Is there any update to this issue? It's getting frustrating. :/
Serato says this:
This is a known issue that Serato and Pioneer are working on.
It has to do with vibration.
Hopefully we will see a fix in the very near future.
For now, try to situate your cd players in a place that will not pick up such vibration.
@Sentinel > Unfortunately, we don't have any timeline from Serato so we can't comment on when an update will become available. Sorry!
