DDJ-SB1 Tempo fader unresponsive. Can I break it?
The tempo fader on the right deck of my DDJ-SB1 is stuck on +8. No matter how much I move it, it won't respond.
I have searched everywhere for a solution but it's probably a hardware issue. Now my question is, is there a way to comepletely disable the tempo fader? I am fine with only using one fader but if it's stuck on +8 it messes up every song on that deck. Is there a way to reset it to +/- 0? If there is no way, is there possibly a way to deliberatly "break" the tempo slider so it's not registered by the program (DJ Lite)?
Thanks

In that case it's likely a faulty fader, or possibly a problem with one of the boards. Please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region to have the unit inspected / serviced.
Have you used a MIDI monitor application to check and see if the fader hardware is still transmitting data?
I just used MIDIOX. It's showing me basically the same as the DJ program. If i just move it up and down, nothing happens but if I wiggle it a bit it keeps jumping around but still ends up where it was. And I just took the whole thing apart and cleaned the fader and now the fader is stuck at -8 instead of +8 which doesnt help. So there seems to be some kind of reaction but it's basically stuck. If there was a way to just disable the whole fader and keep it at +/-0 it would be fine.
Alright I was messing around with it and I think I broke it completely. Now nothing shows up but it's still stuck at +8. This doesn't make any sense.
