Lagging Screen on XDJ-XZ Mixer when Macbook Pro I5 is plugged in with Serato DJ Pro

Products:

 - XDJ XZ

- MacBook Pro 2.0 GHZ Quad Core Intel Core I5 (Monterey)

- Serato DJ Pro (latest update)

I have looked everywhere to find an example of my issue, but could not find anything. I recently purchased my XDJ-XZ and like using my laptop to search music and link to the controller. I am running into an issue where the screen on the XDJ is lagging significantly when mixing songs or applying effects/loops to the point where I need to look at my laptop screen to see what is happening real time when I am trying to loop or apply effects.

I tried to update the firmware on the controller, but I am not sure if I did it correctly. I got the update screen and it said it was updated.

I am not sure if this is a Mac problem because everything runs smooth on the computer, but the screen on the XDJ is lagging to the point of it not being usable.

I have not run into this issue when I am using a USB, but having the laptop plugged in the main way I want to DJ with this controller.

Any advice and help is greatly appreciated.

Are you connecting through a USB hub or other devices on the same side of the computer?

Colin Owens

Yes, just the USB Hub. I adjusted the latency to see if that fixed it, I tuned off the wifi and closed any background programs but the mixer screen is still choppy.
