DDJ-S1 No Sound with ITCH

Hello, I just bought my DDJ-S1. I'm using a MacBook 4GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, all running on 10.7.2 (OSX Lion). I have my mixer connected to the Master Output 2 (using RCA), from the mixer to my receiver to the speakers. USB and power adapters on both my mixer and laptop are all connected properly. When I turn on the mixer, it goes through its start-up sequence. When I start ITCH all (but some) of the LED's are functioning properly, I have control over the system and on ITCH, BUT...

There is no sound going through the mixer, the Level LED's don't light up at all. I don't hear anything from my headphones nor the speakers. I have upgraded to the latest version of ITCH, I have uninstalled and re-installed and nothing.

The one strange thing is, all sound can be heard on my speakers once I exit ITCH. iTunes, youtube can be heard through the speakers and my headphones, the Master Level LED's light up. If I connect my iPod via the AUX input on the mixer, it works and I can control the levels. But no sound with ITCH. Any advice?

@MisterFig > Did you install with the S1 connected and powered-up?

MisterFig

Hi,

Yes the S1 was connected and powered-up when I did the install.

If you go to Applications > Utilities and open the Audio MIDI Setup utility, go to Window > MIDI Studio, **is the **Pioneer DDJ-S1 listed there -- exactly as spelled out here?  Next, go to Window > Audio Devices and see if the Pioneer DDJ-S1 is listed there as an audio interface.

Was that yes to both?

MisterFig

Problem solved. Thanks! Thread may be closed now.

Funny that you replied -- right as I'm troubleshooting it on my side trying to figure out what you did, unable to make mine NOT work!  lol

What was the problem / solution?

MisterFig

Something I overlooked. The TRIM level was at MIN. Turned it to the middle then adjusted all levels on both decks, works perfect now. Good luck with yours now lol.

Pulse

LOL - yes, that will certainly do it.  With the output direct from the computer it bypasses the channels and goes direct to master so I see why you would have encountered that problem.

pioneer friend of mine works right, but not the reproduction of sound leaves no sound cables connected rights, MacBook Pro retina. What to do?

@Rafael > Could you please try asking the question in your native language?  I don't quite understand where the problem is.
