Connecting Mac to XDJ-RX in performance mode.

Hi all, after trying trying and then trying some more I still cannot connect my Mac to the xdi-rx in performance mode via usb, I'm using a usb-c to usb-b cable as my Mac only has usb-c ports. I have the latest firmware installed in to the xdi-rx and also have installed the latest version of rekordbox. Im not sure but I may have trouble installing the audio driver.

Have you installed the audio driver of XDJ-RX into your Mac?

You can download it from here.

Hi

I have tried so many times to install that driver from that link for the Mac, still nothing

Could you check the [UTILITY] screen of your XDJ-RX to set the [MIXER MODE] to [MIDI CONTROL]?

Jon Whatling

Hi I have set the xdi-rx to midi control already

Jon Whatling

As you can see there is nothing showing up in the midi control box

OK, please try to reload Audio MIDI settings at the MIDI STUDIO as follow steps.
(1)Connect XDJ-RX to your computer and turned it power on.
(2)Open [Applications] folder, [Utilities] folder and [Audio MIDI Setup.app].
(3)Open [Audio Devices] window. Confirm that [Audio MIDI Setup] is displayed on Menu bar.
Click [Window] and choose [Show MIDI Studio] or [Show MIDI Window]. (The displayed name depends on OS version.)

(4)[MIDI Studio] window opens up, click [XDJ-RX] icon. The icon turns to blue color, click [Remove Device].
"XDJ-RX" icon disappears and comes back again.

(5)Close [Audio MIDI Setup] and turn XDJ-RX power off.
(6)Turn XDJ-RX power on and run DJ Application.

Trouble is I don't get the xdi-rx icon show up in the midi studio window, I have an error message shown on the display of the xdi-rx, unsupported device 8307

Hi I use Mac OS. I still can't believe how difficult this is proving to be, I have brought a pioneer product and have a trial version of the performance software, at this rate it does not look like I will be able to make any use of it before out expires. Why can't things just work?

XDJ-RX has 3 USB ports, 2 USB A ports on top and 1 USB B port on rear.

Which USB port do you use to connect your Mac?

Sigo

Hi Jon,

this is not a PIO Problem . This is a APPLE USB C Problem !

please spec. your Mac. Is it MAC Book Pro 2016 with USB C ?

What kind of Cable do you use ?  Maybe a 3. Part USB C to B Cable ? Non Apple certified ?  I some Apple cables there are  special Micro controller which certified the Cable as AUDIO / MIDI Cable. So your MAC will not recognize the XDJ - RX.

Please try the original APPLE USB C to USB A ADAPTER and use a normal USB A/B Cable.
