2000 Nexus, Create and save "active loops" right on the player?

2000 Nexus, Create and save "active loops" right on the player?

In RB I know we can set a loop and then make it an active loop. But can we make a loop on the Nexus itself, hit memory and somehow set it as the active loop or active loops HAVE to be created in RB? I checked the manual and didnt see anything

maybe suggest if you hit memory it saves the loop but if you HOLD memory for 2 or more seconds it saves as "active" loop? Just a suggestion

again a very nice idea. would be great to create active loops on the nexus itself
