DDJ-400 Not detected by Windows 10

i just received this unit yesterday, just plugged it in after installing Rekordbox application. The lights on the unit come on briefly indication all the lights are working, then it thrashes in and out. Device manager tries to recognize it but then resets and it repeats for as long as I have the controller connected. Rekordbox cannot detect it. It did work correctly for about half a minute that started resetting all over again. It does not show up at all in device manager.

Hey William,

The main reason USB-powered mixers behave this way is that the computer is not delivering enough power over the USB to the controller. This can be caused by a number of reasons:

- bad USB cable or port
- computer's USB chipset doesn't provide adequate power
- other USB ports have devices drawing too much power

Possible fixes for you:

- try another cable or port
- use a powered-USB hub
- use a different computer

Let us know how it goes... it could be that the DDJ is faulty, but those are the more common issues which are pretty simple to troubleshoot first.

Hi,

I'm facing the same issue, the lights keep coming and going off. The software is not able to detect the controller. Tried with different ports and laptops. Can you suggest what to do?

Thanks!

If nothing above fixes it, please contact an authorized service centre in your region to have your controller inspected and/or repaired.
