DDJ-SR: Very quiet & headphones not working (OS X El Capitan, Full firmware)
My DDJ-SR is connected with RCA, firmware is up-to-date. I'm using OS X El Capitan (10.11.6) via macbook.
When I try and play system audio or Serato audio through the unit the Master knob has to be pushed to max to get any sound out of it.
Headphones also not working whatsoever.
Cables & headphones have been tested.
Any ideas?

make sure your Firmware of the SR is 1.08
Check the Manual on Page 26-27
Switch to Utility Mode
Setting the Master Output´s Attenuation level
set it to [HOT CUE] should work well
Turn off the device and Try again.
Also check the settings in serato (auto gain is set to +92 dB)*this is my preference*
can you also test the Booth output on the device!?
Tried that, didn't seem to do anything.
Booth output is the same, needs to be on full to get a tiny volume of sound out of it.
I've also tried removing ALL extra midi drivers, including DDJ - still no luck :(
Kane .. hello
Did you figure it out ist been 2 years now .. can you remember ?
Yo Lukas! I did figure it out! I posted it on a different thread but can update you here...
I bought this USB hub https://m.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/insignia-insignia-7-port-usb-3-0-hub-ns-pch6732-c-ns-pch6732-c/10360979
It turns out that my MacBook isn't giving the SR enough power for some reason, but it all works when plugging into the orange 2.1A port on the hub.
What's strange is I tried my friends SX and it worked fine. So it must be something to do with the SR model (having had 2 of them now)
Hope you get it fixed! Was a huge relief when mine actually worked!
Omg ! Thank you i wasnt even hoping for any answer ... i was so depresed..
ill try it ASAP and will let you know if worked too !
I domt know why is that DJ comunity seems to me so friendly and hate free .
