Rekordbox does not remember your settings

A lot of settings are not remembered by Rekordbox:

-If you switch on Master Tempo (so that the key stay's the same if you change the bpm) it will be off again at the next reboot.

-If you choose your own CFX it will be set to the default user setting at the next reboot.

-If you choose to use one effect with multiple parameters instead of three effects with one parameter in your FX bank, it will be set to three effects again at the next reboot.

Also, when you choose to have a max tempo range of 6 or 10, after a while suddenly it is on max! So if you use your temposlider it can be way off suddenly! It would be great if you can choose to set this setting fixed to 6 or 10 everytime you load a new track.

Another one, I don't want Rekordbox to autostart a track. But when a track has completely run out till the end and you load a new track, it will autostart, even when you have set autostart off.

Can Pioneer please fix these issues in the next version?

I am using RB 4.07, a MacBook Pro and a DDJ-RX

Thanks for this info.  I will pass the suggestions along to the engineering team.

The CFX settings issue was reported to be fixed in 4.0.7.  You're saying the settings are still not saving?

We are aware of the auto start issues and it will be addressed in a future update.

renediertens

Yes, the CFX settings are now being saved. I'mtest out i other settings are being saved now as well.

But please, fix the bug for the "preview start/stop function". When you map this function to a knob on the DDJ RX it will STOP your on air deck! Very dangerous...

Hmmm... the autostart issue is also still not fixed...

@renediertens > The original topic of this post has been resolved.  The other issues you are mentioning have their own threads.  Please post your concerns in the respective threads. Thank you.

Hi Mark, I am the writer of the original topic.

But I will wait for coming releases

And I am sorry to say, but the original topic has partly been resolved. But some issues are still present:

-If you choose to use one effect with multiple parameters instead of three effects with one parameter in your FX bank, it will be set to three effects again at the next reboot.

Also, when you choose to have a max tempo range of 6 or 10, after a while suddenly it is on max! So if you use your temposlider it can be way off suddenly! It would be great if you can choose to set this setting fixed to 6 or 10 everytime you load a new track.

Another one, I don't want Rekordbox to autostart a track. But when a track has completely run out till the end and you load a new track, it will autostart, even when you have set autostart off.

@renediertens > You are correct, I apologize.  I will pass these along.

renediertens

Hi there,

Every update I'm curious to see if the bugs I reported are fixed. But unfortunately they are still existing...

So here we go again:

FX bank:
If you choose to use one effect with multiple parameters instead of three effects with one parameter in your FX bank, it will be set to three effects again at the next reboot.

Tempo range:
Also, when you choose to have a max tempo range of 6 or 10, after a while suddenly it is on max! So if you use your temposlider it can be way off suddenly! It would be great if you can choose to set this setting fixed to 6 or 10 everytime you load a new track.

Autostart:
Another one, I don't want Rekordbox to autostart a track. But when a track has completely run out till the end and you load a new track, it will autostart, even when you have set autostart off.

This is a known issue and will addressed in a future update.  Thank you for your patience.

Hi Pioneer People, I am having problems with Rekordbox constantly resetting to default settings - (I have a DDj 1000) - for example my effects pads - all the settings for each pad, in both 1st and 2nd sets changed back. My cue points appear and dissapear....so maybe I am doing something wrong, like must I save the settings in a backup or is there a way of restoring them....I took a while to  set them up, can't keep doing this each time......any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Amber.

Please ignore my message above -  I just read the manual on Pad Editing - found the template tab....looks like it's sorted, I hope.

Take it easy and stay safe :) Regards Amber
