Anti-freeze for NXS

This may or may not work for some people, but I'm finding it works for me...

When my CDJs freeze, I hold the track search back button and backspin the jog wheel very slightly until the screen goes black.

As soon as the "Now Loading" message appears, press and hold the track search back button again for 15-20 secs.

"Link Access Error" message should display and the track re-loaded.

If the large waveform doesn't show, hit track search back and immediately hit track search forward to show the waveform.

This saves disabling the Link or taking out the LAN cables or even switching off the units.

I can't get this method to work when the CDJs freeze on hot cues though, sadly - any suggestions for this welcome.

I have found that freezing when loading hot cues is when you hit one of the hot cues while they are still loading from the hot cue bank... wait til they have all loaded before accessing one. (is this what your on about..?)

Ill try your suggestion...

When are they freezing for you..?

They should be loaded as soon as I drop them onto the CDJ from rekordbox.

I press REC/CALL until A/B/C flashes green - I wait a while but they keep flashing until I press a letter,

then the CDJ freezes.

Any workaround for this?

S-TYPE, does it freeze then play or the deck completely freezes and needs a reboot when you load them?

do you have the hot cues set to auto load in RB, it's a new column you have to enable and add?

are you linked to RB or using a usb drive?

Shªun_N

The deck completely freezes disabling all functionality.

I have enabled the Hot Cue column and other tracks automatically load the hot cues fine.

Is there a way to select all tracks to have a tick in the hot cue column, or does this have to be done manually?

I'm connected via LAN & hub.

BriChi

Yes you can select all the tracks and then go into the info pane and select hot cue.
