DDJ-400 Completely unresponsive

Hello, I recently purchased a DDJ-400, my first dj controller. When i plug the controller into my mac, there is absolutely no response from the controller, no lights or anything. I know it is not a problem with the computer because the same usb port powers other devices and it is also not the usb because I have tried multiple usbs. Is it likely that i have a faulty controller and should exchange it?

Any other system updates take place?

If it's not working with multiple computers, that would be more likely to point to a hardware failure. If it's not showing in the USB section of the System Information report, and you can't get it to update the firmware (even to the same version), then please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired.
