Error 8306 and WAIT message

Hi all.

My XDJ RX is a grat machine.

BUT!

Sometimes i get error 8306. So i reformatt my usb drive Sandisk Ultra Fit 64GB from FAT32 to HFS and seems to be ok.

Last gig in the middle of the set i get another error message E8036 and XDJ slows down and freezes!!!

WTF???

I must restart whole console.OH MY GOD!!!

A few minutes later a get another WAIT message.

Whats going on?

My XDJ has latest firmware 2.21

I have checked my usb drive and is OK.

Dear PioneerDJ, make a new firmware and eleimninate the  E8036!

Thank you

The Fit just isn't a performance drive. It's designed to be small, not good. Please try using a different USB drive.

Hi

Really isnt? The Sandisk Ultra Fit is one of the best usb drives fot DJs by the djtechtools.com:

What is tha main performance parameters for usb drive?

Is that Samsung good for it?

1) That article is from 2015.

2) The article also talks about using USB2 drives.

3) The Fit is listed as a "Great Value" drive.

4) The Fit was $32 for 64GB in 2015.

5) That article also suggests that the Corsair Survivor is a good choice (it's not; I've had more problems with that drive in CDJs and XDJs than any other).

I look at more than just the capacity or size for a drive. I don't care what it looks like or how clunky it is so long as it's fast -- and not just overall write speed for large files, it's important that small files transfer quickly as well. A perfect example of a drive that seems fast when dealing with large files but then absolutely sucks when dealing with small files is the Kingston HyperX USB3.0 drive. It can handle large files like a champ, but start sending it small files like rekordbox does when writing the waveform data, and it chokes worse than many USB2 drives.

Watch a video I made about USB drives here for more insight and my recommendations.
