Issues with beat/bmp sync
So I recently encountered this issue while trying to mix two songs of different BPMs, the first one being at 126 BPM and the second one at 140 BPM. I chose Deck 1 (with the 126 BPM track) as the Master for Beat Sync, and pressed the Beat Sync button on Deck 2. Then I put a 2-beat loop on the first track, and hit play on the second one. Then, I gradually increased the BPM of the first deck while shortening the loop. I noticed that the Master deck for Beat Sync automatically shifted to Deck 2 from Deck 1 as the length of the loop on Deck 1 went below 1/4 beats. Is this an issue with rekordbox or my DDJ-400?

It's pretty logical that at 1/4 beat, you're really no longer using that track as the master... so I can see why it would switch automatically.
