Library Backup
To save space on my Mac's internal storage, I'm going to have all my music files on my external HDD.
I already have a mirror image of these files on my external HDD. I am thinking to delete all music from my Mac and keep them on my external HDD (which also backs up to Dropbox).
How can I get rekordbox to preserve all beat grids, cue points, waveform analyses, etc. when I choose my music from my external HDD from the rekordbox explorer?
Right now it looks like the music needs to be analysed again?
I have backed up my library and don't know what the next step is.

If I'm reading you correctly, you have two copies of the your music - one on your internal storage and one on an external drive. You've tried to add the songs from the external drive but RB is suggesting you need to reanalyse.
If so - don't add from the external drive as doing this is adding a new track to the library. You would need to remove the tracks from your internal drive and then relocate them within RB.
My workflow usually is to download tracks to my local drive and transfer to my NAS before adding to RB. Then analysing/preparing cues etc.
I know you say you've backed up your library - I presume using the option within RB... which is always wise before taking any action like this.
Hi tw332
I've moved my database to my external HDD.
So, are you saying I now need to delete all my music stored on my internal SSD and then relocate to the external HDD?
And this will import all analysis data, cues, etc?
Yes to both... but just to be sure, maybe instead of deleting the music stored on your internal drive, move it to another folder (just in case, that way you can always move it back if something goes wrong).
Once you've deleted (or moved) the tracks from the internal drive, try to select a track in RB, you should see an exclamation mark that indicates that it can't be found.
You can then either:
