Can the DDJ-SP1 be used with CDJ2000NXS without the need for a laptop?

I would love this type of functionality with CDJs.

No.  This feature is currently only available on the CDJ-2000NXS2 and the XDJ-1000MK2.  There are no plans to add this feature to previous models.

not sure, i can't see pioneer doing this though, why add features to a 3 year old player that would stop u from buying the latest player
