rekordbox UI freezing

has anyone else run into issues with the rekordbox UI occasionally freezing?  the actual program is still running and all deck controls still function but the UI seems frozen.  it appears to disappear if you switch from horizontal to vertical waveforms. 

i'm running on macos 12.4 / 2019 15" mbp +16gb. no other apps are contending for CPU either.  so this is rather odd since I've been running very stable on this laptop for 4yrs.  fyi: this happened on macos 10.15 on the same device as well, so not an OS issue afaik.

i can't seem to reproduce this on my 2020 13" mbp / macos 12.4.
