Paid & Free subscription
Hello. As I understood do I need a monthly paid subscription plan for rekordbox 6 to play at a bar that owns 2 cdj-350?? I am a DDJ-RZ owner so automatically rekordbox unlocks me to the core version.

i dont want to subscribe , i want to buy the software with cdj support .........
Sorry, that is no longer an option. rekordbox is now a subscription software; there is no option for outright purchase. This allows us to continue to provide you with updates and new features without having to worry about upgrading to a new version - you will always get the new functions without having to buy an add-on or upgrade.

Apple charges a monthly fee for cloud. Their OS is free, but unlocked by the hardware ... just like using rekordbox!
Microsoft charges a subscription for their cloud storage as well as Office software. Yeah, you can buy a license for Windows, but you have to pay again if you buy it off the shelf.)
The subscription is only for cloud purposes! When these and many more Cdjs created by you there was no rekordbox dj performance mode and we used them With Traktor Serato and VIRTUAL DJ TOTALLY FREE! And the are continue to be free since today! So Pioneer is a company that suddenly monthly charges it's customers to unlock and use it's own company's products! Really now?? My groceries store at my neiborhood has more serius services than this... Sorry. Sadly I go back to my previous Dj program which is FAIR...

Exactly!!!! Thank you Pulse!!!! I bought them just I bought Rekordbox!!! I didn't pay a subscription every single month to them! I bought them! Once and for all! I will buy right away Rekordbox 6 if you create a one-time licence! That's the point and thank you for understanding me at last!
Does Serato offer a subscription for their software? Yes they do.
Does Virtual DJ offer a subscription for their software? Yes they do.
People got upset when Adobe moved their software to subscription-only, and we've done the same thing.
Sorry but there will not be a one-time purchase available for rekordbox 6.
@Pulse > Pay one time for Serato DJ and/or VDJ is upgrade for life. You're comparing apple to oranges.
All these companies offer a one-time purchase too and with all these companies I can control the players for free because I own some of them from older purchases! Give me one good reason to stay to rekordbox... Nothing... I have the same services as all other companies so I go back to them! Adobe
Microsoft and Apple are Monopoly at their products and services. Pioneer isn't!!
As a bit of advice and right before I leave your company I suggest you to have a subscription only for the new features you created and leave everything else as it was because as I figured Alpha Theta seems to be a disaster...

Do you know why those companies offer a subscription for their software when they only used to offer a one-time-purchase? Guess what comes next... subscription only.
Sorry guys, you can complain all you want, but the decision has been made and the band-aid has been ripped off.
