I don't understand what the complaint is. Pioneer has provided a beautiful integration of a legacy product (the DDJ-SP1 was designed for use with Serato and has since been discontinued), allowing users to take their existing hardware for additional control over the new players.
With regards to rekordbox compatibility, as soon as MIDI integration is released, you'll be able to add virtually any controller.
well right now the SP1 doesn't work with rekordbox at all, we will know better once the cdj's are out to the public and everything is all hooked up before we know how well it works

remember the SP1 was out before rekordbox DJ and the new NXS2
the SP1 will work with the NXS2 to control cue points when plugged into the decks like in the videos, this has nothing to do with rekordbox dj
once rekordbox DJ supports MIDI learn which they claim is coming possibly in February, then you should be able to use/map any controller you want to rekordbox dj
