XDJ RX Auto Loop

Hi,

is it possible to also set 16 and 32 long auto beat loops with the performance keys in auto loop mode or is a 8 beat long loop is the highest one.

Thanks

Pulse

Not having one on hand to test (and I don't recall with absolute certainty), but I believe you can adjust the length longer than what is displayed to get longer loops.

DJ Stuart-J

No. Only up to 8bar
I also can not work out the logic in only having 8 bar looping as all of the Digital based systems go to up to 32. This makes me miss my Traktor Pro 2!

Pulse

Right - 8 bars / 32 beats, right? That's pretty long...

DJ Stuart-J

I meant 16 to 32 beats not bars.

M Rawe

Thanks a lot! A maximum of only 8 Beats in Auto Loop Mode is no
option for me. This should be changed to 4,8,16,32 mapped on the
pads. An option to also easily shift the loops to the left or right
would be nice too.

Pulse

I checked with the engineers:

If setting a loop directly pressing the performance pad, you can set the auto beat loop up to 8 beats. However, after setting the 8-beat loop in this way, each time you press the CUE/LOOP CALL FWD button, you can double the loop length.

Thanks Pulse, I will try this, I have been editing the exit of the loop using the orange coloured loop out adjust button.

Paul Jones

Yes that works well. Thank you.

Pulse

Awesome, glad to hear it works.

Loicmourier

How do you make the loops 8 beats by default ? it si only 4 beats on my XDJRX ?

thanks

Please read Pulse's instructions above ^

Pulses instructions above arent clear : "If setting a loop directly pressing the performance pad, you can set the auto beat loop up to 8 beats." But how exactly do you do that? Thanks

Pulse

It's literally two button presses:

Reezky

So this annoyed me, until i found out that if you beatgrid/analyze your music beforehand and use the quantize feature you can loop using the 8bar loop then quickly extend it to 32 using the loop call feature without effecting sound or restarting loop, a little annoying but doesnt effect sound

ceepee-in-the-mix

Extend (or shrink) the length of 8 with the arrows cue/loop/call above your platter. You can also use the orange IN / OUT buttons if you want longer loops. Press IN where you want to start, and press OUT where you want to end. This is not limited in length.
