DDJ SX2 Hardware problem

There is a problem with my SX2. When I power on the hardware, the lights on the controller light up in a different matter. Normally, the lights are symmetrical when its plugged into my laptop thru serato. When I press the cue button it switches the track. When I turn the HPF/LPF knob the light that's on the jogwheels move in the direction of where I'm turning the knob. When I press on the pads they light up in all different colors everytime I touch them. When I press the roll, slicer, sampler, hot cue buttons the controller does absolutely nothing. I tried checking to see if there was a hardware update but it doesn't look like one exists. I updated serato to the newest version and the controller still malfunctions. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.
