[SOLVED] Need some insight please (cdj1000-djm900-traktor-timecode)

Hi Guys,

I am going to the DJM 900 and since I am a Traktor Scratch 2 user I want to start using Timecode CDs with my CDJ1000s.

Can you guys say (from personal use/experience) how tight will it be latency wise?

I have a decent i5 Dell with 8GB of RAM & running windows7 64bit.

Thanks in advance.

Gavin

Djm2000 and I use the NI Kontrol X1

@Walter, I used Traktor Scratch a couple of years ago with CDJ-1000MK3 and DJM-800. For me it worked really good, I didn't had any issues with latency at all! At that time I used a Lenovo Thinkpad, I can't remember the CPU but I had 4GB RAM.

I'm a trance DJ and I don't scratch so I can't tell you if there will be any latency issues with scratching but I don't think so. Be sure to download the latest Timecode CD's from NI.

Cool thx as always Oak. I don't scratch either so no worries there.

I thought the new timecodes were only for sale? Either way I know they would be under fifty bucks so it doesn't really matter but I thought I ask since you're very knowledgeable on NI products.

Thanks again and happy new year

I'm sure, if you look around the internet, u can download the Timecode, but why bother. I rather pay for a product that works, than get a free download, burn the cd's and then at a gig discover that there's some kind of error on the timecode.
