Major latency issue using DJM 900 Nexus with CDJ1000s time code and SDJ 1.7.8 Inbox x

Occurred during the 1st time playing out with my new 900 nexus. Up until now, I've used an SL3 with the same CDJ configuration (except I used a DJM 800)

I was about an hour into a set when I started to experience latency in one of the CDJs. then shortly after, the other CDJ had the same prob. I powered each one off while the other deck played but no change, so I went over to internal mode using sync which I was't happy about, but it saved the day.

Why did this occur an hour into the set and what might be causing it? Never a probelm with the 800 and my SL# sound card. Are there any settings I need to be looking at?

Have you actually changed the USB Latency setting in Serato DJ? It should be all the way to the left. When you first download Serato DJ I noticed it's all the way to the right.

@Jeffrey > As @John says, what is your buffer size set to? That's usually the problem.

When I checked, I noticed that it was set at 10ms, so I moved it all the way over to 20ms. It seems to play fine, but I only fooled around with it for about 30 mins. But why would this latency problem start an hour into the set?

I'm a little gun shy to use it again when I play out. I can use my SL#, but that kinda defeats the purpose of buying the 900 Nexus. For my next gig, I'm thinking about doing a standards SL3 set up to the other 2 channels with a 2nd USB to my ma, so I can switch over to that if I have that problem again, but I will need to test it to see if I can actually do that smoothly.

Any other advice?

The higher the number, the greater the latency. You want to set it AS LOW as possible without having audio glitches.
