have just recieved an email from you and am unable to even open update? am trying with win rar but i think the issue may just be a setting i need on the decks, how would i open with winrar?

When the downloaded zip file is double-clicked, the update file is unzipped.

LEBON

just seems to open the rar file?

LEBON

worked for a second but didnt have the decks connected, tried again and nothing.

It's "jar" not "rar". "jar" is a JAVA file.

You don't need to unzip this "jar" file, and update the firmware with following steps.

[Steps]

  1. Turn off the power of DDJ-RX and connect it to a computer.
  2. Turn on the power of DDJ-RX while pressing the SHIFT button and SYNC button on the left deck.
  3. The Master Level Meter will flash.
  4. Double click the new firmware(jar file).
  5. Click the Start button in the Updater Program dialog.
  6. When the progress bar reach to 100%, the update is completed.

Open [Preferences] > [Audio] > [Audio] to check whether your audio device(DDJ-RX ASIO) is selected. If the device you use is set, reset the device. (i.e., select different audio device and then reset the audio device you use again.)
