Is there any difference between the DDJ-SZ2 vs. DDJ-1000SRT?

I searched around the forum and didn't find much else besides these two controllers having the same platters (same as the CDJ-2000NXS2 according to a response from a pioneer rep). Can a Pioneer representative please clarify if there are any major differences between these two controllers other than size, weight, and physical factors? Are the sound cards the same Wolfson DAC the SZ SZ2 use? Are the mixer components the same?

Jay

The SRT is newer with newer components, on board beat effects, platter display in the jog wheel, CDJ-2000NXS2 jog wheels (not the same platters as the SZ2).

The best Serato controller for me is the 1000SRT as it feels different from the SZ series when using it.  I personally like the touch of the surface on the SRT and the UI as to where everything is place, and the fact that the price is a great value for what you are getting.

Hi Jay, thanks for clearing some of this up. Do you mind answering these questions for me?

1. Which joghweels do the SZ/SZ2 have?

2. Is there a Wolfson DAC sound card in the DDJ-1000 and DDJ-1000SRT? If not, what sound card does the 1000 series use?
