Weird SLIP mode behaviour while working with rekordbox dj (XDJ-RX)

One of the ways to use SLIP mode is throwing a backspin till the end of the bar and then catching the platter so the track could continue in time. If the tracks are loaded from USBs - SLIP mode works just fine for this. However, in MIDI mode with rekordbox dj opened, it's fine with loops, but this backspin thing is not affected by SLIP mode and ruins the beat. What's the explanation? May it be the fact that I'm catching the jog from the side and not on the touch surface? How can I fix this?

Engage the SYNC and you won't have this problem -- it's because when you perform the backspin, you may catch the edge of the jog and it bends the pitch / timing out of sync, even though the slip is engaged.

yep - catch it on the surface-

Paul, the thing is it works the right way no matter i touch it or not while playing from USBs. Catching the jog on the top affects the performance timing as it stops the playback for a couple of ms
