DDJ S1 Firmware Error
I'm trying to update the firmware on my DDJ S1, but every time I try, it gives me an error saying that the update was not possible. I'm running on Windows 10, and I've already checked that controller works by using the MIDI-OX program to check everything is okay. Since you need the latest firmware version to use Serato DJ, which is 1.10, I can't use the program.

Ok lets start at the beginning. Make sure you are following the instructions for updating exactly
https://www.pioneerdj.com/en-us/support/software/ddj-s1/
Have you installed all the drivers?
Tried a new USB cable.
Lets' mark these off and then if still issues, we can look deeper..
Try running in administrative mode too. If there's an error, please post a screen shot.
I am having the exact same issue but on a Mac. I have tried a different USB cable and still the same error is coming up for me as i try and install the firmware update...pleas help
@Matt > Is your device showing as connected in the System Profiler?
Open the Apple menu while pressing the option key, then select “System Profiler.” Select the [USB] from the [Hardware] and select “PIONEER PIONEER DDJ-S1”to display the firmware version.
All good I managed to get the update. I ended up downloading the one from the following link and it worked fine:
http://faq.pioneerdj.com/product.php?c=2737&lang=en&p=DDJ-S1&t=70
@Ludvin maybe give this link a try as well
@Matt > Weird - thanks for posting that the alternate download worked for you.
I'm having this same issue. Can I get some help.
@Steve > Try downloading here, but don't use Safari as it can corrupt downloads when it auto-unzips them.
When i try to open it it says " How do you want to open it" And its saying its a DMG file?? Doesnt give me the option to download anything. Seems like the link you sent doesnt work.
Aha - you're on a PC. Use this link instead.
