I can't get my XDJ -XZ to connect to Serato and i get get the firmware to work either
I can't get this to work at all. I can't even figure our how to get the waveforms to appear when u use the usb port? Also I can get the Video and crossfader to work with Rekordbox either. SoI paid $2300 for a controller that I can't even get anything to work properly. I am very efficient and computer savvy.

I was able to update the firmware with no issue, as were many other users. I'm happy to try and help out. Just to make sure you're following the correct steps, I've bolded important parts that are easy to overlook:
If you find that it's still not working, it could be an issue with your USB external drive. Not all drives are created equal, so repeat the steps with a different USB storage device brand. For what it's worth, I used a SanDisk Ultra and everything worked fine.
Cheers.
Here's the Serato walkthrough for the XDJ-XZ. Make sure you've updated Serato after updating the firmware.
If all else fails, I'd advise you to submit a support ticket. They're actually quite prompt at responding, just ensure you've provided all the details they require. Hopefully it won't get to that point for you. Cheers.
It's all pretty straightforward if you follow the instructions and read the manuals. I did basically nothing special after updating my firmware to 1.1 and Serato to 2.3.3 - I launched the software, hit the MIDI button, pressed DECK 1 and DECK 2 and was off to the races.
I will not read any of my USB drives. I have followed the directions to a tee.
i really need to talk to someone.
Read them as in for firmware update or to use to play music?
I have two tickets submitted. I have dj class and seminars that I was supposed to launch this controller but i cant get it to work.
I see our agent Luana has provided you with the instructions on how to update the firmware. Let us know if you need further assistance.
hey Guys, same issue, can you help me out
@Tamas > You need the latest firmware and version of Serato in order for this to work.
