My DDJ-SZ needs to be reset to the factory defaults

@Frank > Did you put the controller into general MIDI mode?

Disconnect the USB cable from the SZ and turn it off.
Hold Shift + Play/Pause from the left deck while powering-on the SZ.
This will put the controller into UTILITY SETTINGS mode.

If the KEY LOCK button on the left deck is illuminated, you are in forced-MIDI mode. Press the KEY LOCK button to disable it and put the SZ into auto-detect mode.

I tried the procedure you outlined an themail controller was in serato mode. I moved my USB cable from sound card A to sound card B and it works fine. It looks like the issue is with sound card A. What's the process to get my unit serviced? I bought it a little over a year ago. Is it still under warranty?

@Frank > I don't think there is a soundcard failure. I'm asking the engineers if they have any insight to this issue.

Ok, let me detail a timeline of events. I last used the Ddj-sz on 9/20/15 for a gig. Everything worked fine, I was plugged into the USB A port. On 9/2515, i downloaded the most recent Midi files for Traktor, then I downloaded the most recent firmware and drivers. At that point, Serato and Virtual DJ would not recognize the controller. I was only using the A port. I then followed the procedure you provided earlier and then the controller was recognized by thè respective software but only the mix worked, the cdj portion of the controller was not responsive. I then tried the USB B port and everything worked fine. The A port does not.

@Frank > Nothing you've done sounds like it would affect the performance of the SZ. Let's see what the engineers have to say - thanks for the additional input.

prejudice I have problems with the sound quality of ddj sz I thought it was the system but instead I think it is a problem of the controller state that use traktor pro 2 and a few weeks ago that the sound comes out distorted soon surpass 0 db.Grazie early appearance vs. news

My ddj sz stops playing for a while like 2-3 sec sometimes
I have to restart the machine again
after scratching and releasing the wheels
Please what am I supposed to do to get away this problem
I have updated all drivers
Am using mac book pro core i5 2.3 8gig ram terabyte macsiera

I fixed this problem by the next steps:

1- Download the asio4all program from the page http://www.asio4all.com/

2- Install and that's it, your controller will work again with your pc

pregunta si pueden ayudarme, tengo un SZ pero el corte del croosfader no funciona bien, cuando hago el corte, la canción del otro CANAL mazo se escucha un poco, esto también me afecta en el corte del video fx cuando me muevo hacia cada plataforma no hace el corte y se deja con el fx o transición, porque puede ser esto. @Ricardo > That could be a problem with the crossfader itself, or even the calibration.

thanks for answering, a question would not be the possibility that a problem by mapping and that you have to reestablish the factory SZ by restarting it suggesting this possibility and if that is how the procedure is; which buttons I would have to use to do this I am waiting for your comments, thank you, remembering that the croosfader does not perform well the cut of the channel is heard a little of the other, this is affecting me for scrach and for the video mix in serato Because the effects don't close well.

All the "reset" does is restore the default settings for things like the touch sensitivity, the jog illumination, etc., it doesn't change any mappings or button controls.

Make a setting that is to press the shift and play button at the same time and then turn it on and there a light appeared on the deck or channels and with the search knob the movia until the channel wave disappeared, that procedure was fine, thanks
