Pioneer DDJ RB - Speakers beeping, buzzing

Hey,

I have two M-Audio BX8 D2 Studio Monitors.
When I connect them to DDJ RB and connect the controller to PC,

the speakers starts beeping and little bit buzzing. If the volume down not so much to hear. (but you can hear) If I turn up the volume that beeping and buzzing noises go louder. - the beeping and buzzing continuous

If I connect the speakers directly to PC, not to the controller, the beeping and buzzing noise disappears.

Please help me!

Eu Geno

having the same problem ... noise in headphones (pressed CUE under MASTER knob) and the output depends only on level the HEADPHONES or MASTER knobs ... the noise is not influenced by TRIM or CHANNEL FADER ... seen the solution with Y cable ... does not find such in the store, so apply a substitution with USB hub ... does not change anything ... I tried to power just DDJ-400 (without connecting a nb) and the the noise is still there ... definitely the noise is produced by DDJ-400 itself !!!

Pulse

But is the noise only in the headphones, or is it also in the master output?

Eu Geno

the noise is both in the headphones and in the output ... I am using an usb cable with double shielding and gold-platted connectors

Pulse

Try disconnecting your laptop's charger and see if the noise goes away...

Eu Geno

pls read carefully what I have posted ... I have powered DDJ-400 without nb ... just with the charger via usb cable ... the noise is still there and except DDJ-400 there no other equipment ... the noise could be a product of DDJ-400 only, or?

Pulse

Please read carefully what I've asked you to test.

Eu Geno

OK, I have used a nb without charger and the noise is still there

Eu Geno

SOLVED ... the source of a white noise was MIC LEVEL knob ... as I am not using MIC INPUT it was probably on 0 level from the production ... as it is a MIC gain, it should be on -∞ ... so there is nothing wrong with cable or nb ... of course, it is better to use usb cable with ferrite or with shielding

Pulse

I'm glad you were able to resolve the issue; I should note that there is an accepted level of noise from the mic input, and any time it is used this should be expected.

Hi everyone! I’ve got this problem recently and I found that the problem with sound card. It made a bit weird so when the microphone volume is on then it produces hiss. Put the microphone volume down. Hope it will help.
