[DDJ-1000] Playlist on display at stopped deck

Hey,

i have my DDJ-1000 since last friday and very happy with it. The only thing at the top of my wishlist is the playlist of rekordbox showing on display while scrolling with the select wheel.
My laptop is not behind the controller but sideways. It is not practicable to look the whole time to the side while searching tracks. While performing it would be cool to have 3 tracks listed with one sliding out in the half circles each on top and bottom of the lcd.

IDEA:

On stopped deck the DDJ-1000 displays the playlist with actual cursor in the center with >2 tracks on top and bottom.

the playlist fade out after timeout or when anything else not related to the track selection is pushed.

TITLE - ARTIST - BPM - KEY --> Thats it. maybe configurable. sorting is made on laptop. that is fine.

Please Pioneer, hear my feature suggestion :) I hope you don't think that you don't want to be competition to your own hardware. i wont buy any other pioneer hardware because of this feature dream :P ;)

If you've ever used an XDJ-R1, CDJ-350, CDJ-400, etc, you would know the frustration of having limited information on the display of a product. I feel that having the playlist showing on the jog display would be a terrible user experience. I understand that you don't want to have your computer in front of you, but it's still a necessary piece for the operation of the DDJ-1000, and makes it much easier to use both products in tandem with the large display on the computer.

lol

Seriously though, the limited size of the display would make it hellish!

We had Playlist-Informations on little circle displays like the Tonium Pacemaker 10 years ago and lots of standard Players oder mixstations. So one up for the DDJ-Diplays!

A german blog tested the DDJ. It got 4.5/5 stars. One point is the missing tracklist on display ;)

I also think the display is so little to this feature...

Other happy idea would be to show the illustration of the track behind the information (waveform, BPM's, etc) bigger than only at the top of the display. And a friend of mine doens't like to get the BPM info so big in the display, even he prefers to remove it (because older djs who has used turntable years ago like mix like in the old times).

While it is true that the limited size of the deck screen is small, they could take into account (I do not know if it should be possible) to change the color of the LEDs, from white to red like in the CDJ when the channel is playing
