Hello All,

I have a DJM T1 and it works like a charm. Love it! Especially that I can use Traktor effects post fader. 

I also have a DJM 850 but I have no MIDI mapping for it.  All I want the DJM 850 to do is control the MIxer section of Traktor.  The way I'd like to set up is: 

CD Deck A from Traktor ---> Channel 2 of DJM 850

CD Deck B from Traktor ---> Channel 3 of DJM 850

Remix Deck C from Traktor ---> Channel 1 of DJM 850

Remix Deck D from Traktor ---> Channel 4 of DJM 850

 

I control the CD and Remix decks with my Traktor X1 /  F1 controllers respectively. BUT I would like to have the Traktor effects POST FADER on the DJM 850. Just like the effects are post fader on the DJM T1. 

I'm guessing I have to put the DJM 850 in MIDI mode and create my own mapping. Correct? Any hints for the beginner on how to do this?

Also, I'm guessing I will have to have the DJM 850 in internal mixer mode like the DJM T1. Correct?

It's not possible to have Traktor's effects post-fader as the soundcard signal flow doesn't work that way. Personally, I wouldn't MIDI map the mixer if you're planning on using any of those controls for audio as the mixer is audio-first, meaning anything you do to a knob, button or fader will perform the audio function in addition to sending the MIDI signal.

I'm a little bummed I cannot do what I wanted but I guess there is merit in combining the Traktor effects pre-fader and the DJM - 850 effects post fader.
